I would like to stick a check from the Watchtower Society to me for them to sign, for all the years I was their slave.

What if you put an envelope in the box- "For the Lawsuits" ?
by OnTheWayOut inanother thread made a similar suggestion, so i thought what if....?.
what would happen if you put an envelope in the donation box with a check, and on the .
envelope (also on the comments portion of the check) it said "for the child-abuse lawsuits".

Norway
by InquiryMan inin norway, the ombudsman of children s welfare intervened and a lot of fuss were made when it was made clear that jws endorsed corporal punishment in their publications even though it was banned by law.
it was even mentioned in the national news.
the coordinator was even interviewed on tv and the day after it was proven from the wt indexes that he had been lying.... i remember it was very embarrassing.

The Witnesses always cave in their principles when it's convenient for the organization, not for the individual. I think they should take the elders down in the basement and slap the sh*t out of them and leave the kids alone.

I am afraid that gender does play a role in the Public School system. Some female teachers dislike boys, and the result is that boys then come to dislike school and are having and getting into more trouble in school than ever, I believe this is a problem that needs to be addressed.

Soooo ... they've been spying on us!
by bluesapphire inmy husband and i visited with an old friend who is about to be disfellowshipped and guess what he told us:.
car groups regularly drive by our house to check it out.
an elder said he saw ... gasp ... a christmas tree this past christmas (which he had to have snuck a look through a side window because our front windows always have the shutters closed!.

What a wonderful bunch, their titilated by somebodies personal affairs once they quite, a sick fascination like a mob watching a hanging.

The Hokey Pokey -one of the dances the Witness youth were allowed to do.
If I put my foot in and had to shake it afterward I would suspect I had stepped on some doo doo.

My life after Bethel
by new boy inthank you for this place in cyber space, this is therapy for me.
there is something about writing things down, that helps put things in perspective........ the day i left it was pouring rain........i really screwed up, i found out the night before, as i was packing things up, that i had way under estimated how much stuff i had.
i had two large suit cases (that i could barely shut the lids on) and a large army duffel bag.

Leaving Bethel is one of the best feelings on earth, I don't care what kind of weather. I look back on leaving Bethel as my own personal independence day, if you haven't left the JW's or Bethel you have really missed out on an exhilirating experience.

The Jehovah's Witness Cult Hires Illegal Immigrants
by lisavegas420 inworking in retail management is a never ending adventure.
you never know what is lurking around the next corner.
such was the case about six months ago when my boss asked me to stay over on a sunday night to watch the store while a floor cleaning crew did a strip and wax.. now with my self being a former jehovah's witness, i already knew that a great deal of the jw's owned and operated their own floor cleaning buisnesses, and there was a good chance that the floor crew on that sunday night would more than likely be a jw operation.. when the guys first walked in, i just had a feeling that my hunch was right.

What about the slave labort at Bethel, those people make less than the illegal immigrants and probably work harder. Then the society has the nerve after getting free labor for years to kick some of those people out.

What nicknames were you given when you were a J/W by schoolmates/workmates?
by pobthespazz inespecially if you were raised as a dub like me, well i was called a muslim, holy joe, a jahoodsoon, all seems funny now but torture when you was the only dub in the whole school.

I was called a Jeho-boy, and a Jah's, also a Jew. I heard they called us Witlesses too. No not funny at the time.

Why don't YOU believe anymore?
by Crumpet insomeone on another site was asking "what if they are right?
" which made me think about why i know that they are not and i wondered what was your epiphany or road to damascus moment or moments that just made you realise - hey i've been led up the garden path here!.
here was my response but i really think a list of reasons on one thread for easy reference for newbies would be good.

Being at Bethel in 75 and seeing the reactions of the GB, the callous coverup, followed by what was nothing less than a political coup to oust Knorr and bring in the 'new arrangement.' The many contradiction in logic in the Witness teaching if you just reason them out.
But I am afraid getting out of the Witnesses is just the start. The world is full of traps for the working class like the J.W.s. People need to start asking themselves why.

insanity
by winnie ini wonder why families treat there own flesh and blood with so much contempt because they are inactive or disfellowshipped.. 6 week ago my father who is po of congregation ask me if i would like to go to the cricket to watch australia and england play.at the time i asked if any jw were going he said no.i payed for the ticket.did not hear from him for 6 weeks so rang up yesterday to ask about arrangments and was told that the brothers were going.
yes that right 3 elders and my nephew.. i did not ask to go i was invited.i payed for my ticket 6 weeks ago yet did not even get aphone call.when i conveyed my disgust to my father he blamed me.i can not fathom his reasoning.. so some elder is sitting in my seat watching cricket with a ticket i payed for.hope he gets hit on the head with a cricket ball.. my father is an intelligent man yet sometimes there thinking processes are so warped.they would not treat some drug addict they dragged to kingdom hall who shows interest the same way they treat own flesh and blood.. in 20 years time i think that jws will be a very small religion or almost extinct.if they keep up with there current thinking they will self destruct.tearing families apart will not make for a strong organization.

Well it's typical an elder takes the place where a family should be, as do stinky JW's replace us in our family memebers lives, our loved ones. What a slimy trade off, only a sinsister bunch of minds could be behind this religion.
